Say G’Day Day

Every year on 21 November, Australians are invited to take part in Say G’day Day – a simple, powerful reminder that connection starts with a hello.

This grassroots movement encourages individuals, organisations, and communities to prioritise social connection as a vital part of good health.21 November SGD

Started by Inclusee, Say G’day Day is Australia’s local expression of the global event World Hello Day, which has been celebrated in over 180 countries since 1973. The idea is simple: greet ten people to show the power of personal communication in building peace and connection.

Why It Matters

The World Health Organization’s 2025 global report reveals that 1 in 6 people worldwide is affected by loneliness, contributing to over 871,000 deaths annually. Social isolation is now recognised as a serious health risk, on par with smoking and obesity.

Inclusee is proud to lead Say G’day Day as Australia’s response to this global challenge. We believe that social connection is a health essential, and we’re here to help make it a national priority.

Everyone’s invited!

While “G’day” is a uniquely Aussie greeting, this movement is about more than one word – it’s about the power of connection in all its forms. In a country built on diversity and immigration, saying G’Day is how we welcome and celebrate every culture that calls Australia home. Whether you say Hello, Kia ora, Ni hao, Namaste, Salam, Kamusta, Xin chào, Bonjour, Ciao, Merhaba, Hola or G’day, every greeting matters.

Say G’Day – it goes a long way.
